Bangalore: Anti-love jihad campaign is being conducted by Hindutva organizations Hindu Jan Jagruti Samiti, Ram Sena and Durga Sena, the members of these organizations say that love jihad is a serious and dangerous issue, so Karnataka on the lines of Uttar Pradesh. I should also make anti-jihad law.
In reaction to the anti-love jihad campaign, the opposition Congress and progressive activists say that love jihad is an unreal and fascist agenda of the Bharatiya Janata Party, through which the BJP is waging a jihad of hatred for its political interests.
Nizamuddin Faujdar, spokesperson of Karnataka Congress regarding Love Jihad, said that BJP is not concerned about the problems of the people, its work is only to create unnecessary problems among the people and try to spread chaos.
Maitreyi Krishnan, a well-known social activist and leader of Bahutva Karnataka, said that actually BJP is afraid of love, that is why it is raising its voice against love in the name of Love Jihad, so that with this agenda they mislead the people about inflation. He could fulfill his political interests by cultivating hatred.
It should be remembered that for the past several years, BJP has called Love Jihad as a conspiracy and these days Hindutva organizations in Karnataka are intensifying their campaign against Love Jihad.
In this regard, a memorandum has also been submitted to the state’s Home Minister Araga Ganyanendra by the Hindu Jan Jagruti Samiti and Segar Hindutva organizations with the demand that a law be made on the lines of Uttar Pradesh against Love Jihad.
