Bangalore: Due to the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, thousands of lives have been lost and the conditions of the people in both the countries have become painful.
In order to reach the victims of Turkey-Syria earthquakes, the students of Falcon E-Techno School and PU College of Bangalore have arranged to send their savings.
In this regard today Furqan N. G. A delegation of OK reached Falcon School and the money collected by the students was handed over to them by the director of the institution Abdul Subhan.
On this occasion, Abdul Subhan said that this initiative by children to help the victims of the painful earthquake that occurred in Turkey-Syria is very welcome and that the feelings of serving humanity in children are commendable.
On this occasion Furqan N. G. O’s officials said that they have personal meetings with local people in Turkey and Syria, so they have knowledge about the conditions there. He said that the temperature in the earthquake-hit countries is in minus, so there is a need for warm clothes and generators are urgently needed. The delegation said that they will purchase items like generators from the money collected and send them to the victims.
It should be noted that the death toll from the earthquake has exceeded 33,000, but people are still being pulled out of the rubble. The focus has been on helping the victims.
Relief workers in Turkey have pulled more people from the rubble of the earthquake, but hopes were fading in Turkey and Syria that many survivors would be found.
With at least 24,517 deaths in Turkey, the disaster is already among the top 10 deadliest earthquakes of all time. More than 3,500 people have been killed in Syria, where the death toll has not been updated since Friday.
According to reports, the death toll from the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria has reached 33,000, with the United Nations warning that the final number could double. Officials and medical experts said Monday’s 7.8-magnitude earthquake killed 29,605 people in Turkey and 3,574 in Syria, bringing the confirmed total to 33,179.
