MLA Rahim Khan Claims 1st Time in 70 Years Bidar is Seeing Work of 60 Crores; MLC Arvind Kumar Terms it False
Bangalore: Assembly elections are approaching in the state of Karnataka, in view of this, Karnataka Legislative Council Member Arvind Kumar highlighted various issues pertaining to the polls to be held in the state.
Arvind Kumar said that the BJP-ruled government in the state, is legislating policies against Minorities, SC/ST & backward classes which is not at all acceptable. Arvind Kumar said that the BJP government is involved in serious graft and does not believe in development for the elections but is following the agenda of winning polls by promoting communalism in the State, so now the people are angry and in the upcoming elections Congress will get majority and form the government.
Regarding Bidar Utsav recently held in Bidar, Arvind Kumar said that it was not Bidar Utsav but ‘BJP Utsav’, so he boycotted it and only visited for protocol when the CM Bommai had arrived. Arvind Kumar said that not only himself but no Congress leader participated in the Bidar Utsav except Bidar local MLA Rahim Khan, who got lured for votes for the upcoming elections and participated in the Utsav.
Reacting to the Rahim Khan’s statement wherein he had told that this is the first time in the last 70 years, that such a huge amount of work, i.e. 60 crore rupees, is being carried out in Bidar, Arvind Kumar said, Rahim Khan, this is totally wrong statement made by MLA Rahim Khan. He said that the works of Veterinary University and other institutions in the city were done during the Congress’s rule, so this statement of Rahim Khan is not correct.
With regards to the ongoing activities carried out by some fringe elements in Karnataka wherein the outfits are demanding imposition of ban on Muslims Traders around the temples in different districts of the state, Arvind Kumar said that it is completely wrong and unconstitutional. With such an agenda, BJP wants to force Muslims to come closer to BJP. Arvind said that campaigns like Anti-Halal & Anti Love Jihad are an attempt to incite and provoke Muslims to result in violence so that the BJP can play its politics to reap benefits in the elections.
Arvind Kumar said that the secular forces should unite and work to defeat the Manuvadis, BJP in the upcoming elections.
