Governments Should Make Themselves Accountable And Judiciary Should Reform To Ensure Constitutional Rights To All Citizens Says Prof Ravi Verma Kumar
Bangalore: Farmer Advocate General Professor Ravi Verma Kumar expressed concern that the situation in the country under the current government is disturbing.
Prof. Ravi Varma Kumar expressed serious concern over the human rights issues taking place in the state of Karnataka and at the central level and the misuse of laws by the governments. He also severely criticized the judiciary for not taking proper action on the problems created in Kashmir a few years ago.
Ravi Verma Kumar termed the internet ban imposed by the central government in Kashmir as regrettable and said that there was a lockdown on the internet in Kashmir for a long period but the judiciary did not take any action in this matter.
Referring to the incidents in Karnataka, he said that lawlessness is being seen in the state. Ravi Verma Kumar said that eminent social activists are being jailed by the central government which is very sad and misuse of laws by the governments is spoiling the constitutional image of the country.
Ravi Verma Kumar said that he agreed that the situation in the country and in the state of Karnataka is disturbing, which is very sad. He expressed concern that the BJP government in Karnataka is facing 40 percent corruption but no inquiry has been made in this matter so far.
Ravi Verma Kumar said that the governments should be accountable to the people and the Judiciary should also reform itself so that the people can get their constitutional rights.
