Jamiat Open School is Educationally Active in the Service of Religious Schools and Society at Large
Bangalore: It is being said about the madrasas that under-educated students in the religious madrasas are ignorant of modern sciences, but the elders of Jamiat-ul-Ulama Karnataka refuted this by calling it a mere allegation.
The officials of Jamiat Ulama told the media that not only mathematics, science but also English communication and modern computer science are part of the curriculum of madrasas and students are trained in these subjects.
The scholars further said that a revolutionary work is being done through the ‘Jamaat Open School’ started by Jamiat Ulema which not only students of religious madrasas but also common Muslim and non-Muslim drop out children in tenth class S. S. L. C is being completed.
In this regard, Maulana Muhammad Umar, the person in charge of the institution, explained the details of Jamiat Open School’s syllabus, admissions, etc.
It should be remembered that some sectarian elements in Karnataka are saying that students are being given only religious education in religious madrasas while they are being deliberately kept away from modern sciences. The religious madrasas were targeted by the Hindutva organization Ram Sena Jay Lehran.
In recent days in Karnataka, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party government has also discussed a survey of religious madrasas and according to reports, the surveying officers spoke to the students in the madrasas and found that the madrasas do not even have a fixed curriculum. being taught.
It should be noted that Karnataka Education Minister BC Nagesh had said a few months ago that officials conducting a survey of madrasas in the state claimed that the prescribed syllabus was not being taught.
In the meantime, Jamiat Ulema Karnataka has clarified that these are sheer accusations, while the fact is that under-educated students in religious madrasas are being well equipped with modern sciences.
