SCHOOL DAYS :
Right from his school days Dr Syed was an individual who was very active in extracurricular activities and made sure that he would make the most out of the opportunities available. Hailing from a middle class family MP Syed Hussain had his fair share of challenges to overcome.
COLLEGE DAYS : His college years, spent at St. Philomena’s College and Mysore University, were transformative. Here, his network of friends supported him to be the president of the student union, a role they believed he would embrace with great commitment.
MEMORABLE INCIDENTS : Reflecting on his student life, he acknowledged that everyone has memories that are treasured. As these moments bring a smile to his face, reminding him of his past.
LIFE @ JNU : His tenure as the student union president at JNU has played a vital role in his life, instilling in him valuable qualities. It gave him clarity of thought, bolstered his confidence and furnished him with skills that he still carries as a leader.
STUDENT POLITICS to REAL POLITICS, the transition: Moving from the student politics to real world of politics, Hussain found himself to be a part of different committees and learned that his role was to enhance the administration of the government.
CHALLENGES FACED :
Dr. Sayed acknowledged the trials he faced as an MP from a minority community. He felt the weight of community’s expectations and the broader societal demands. Yet, he firmly believes that a true leader represents every segment of society, irrespective of caste and religion.
