While recognition exists for backward Hindu communities, there is a lack of acknowledgment for similar groups within the Muslim Community suffering from poverty and deprivation. Chaman Farzana, General Secretary of the KPCC Social Justice Committee, discusses the challenges faced by individuals from backward castes. She emphasizes the need to extend support to the communities which are socially & economically deprived. Farzana highlights the importance of studying and understanding this population in order to provide them with essential support so that they may be uplifted. Congress leader Farzana’s call to action urges policymakers, scholars, and community leaders to collaborate in fostering an environment of inclusivity for these deprived and oppressed classes of the Muslim community.
