Uniform Civil Code (UCC) is an exercise by Modi Govt. for 2024 Elections; Just Ignore it, CM IbrahimBangalore: There have been talks on Uniform Civil Code (UCC) after the Law Commission appealed to the people of India to share their views on the subject. The move by the Modi led Central BJP Government is being criticized and is seen as an attempt towards the preparation for the forthcoming Parliamentary Elections.
Talking about the Uniform Civil Code, former Union Minister CM Ibrahim said that governments should not be concerned with the religious affairs of the people and should work for the rights of the people and development of the country.
CM Ibrahim said that the central government led by Narendra Modi is wasting its time with uniform civil code. The government should focus on and address public issues such as poverty, inflation and unemployment and not hatch conspiracies with unnecessary issues aiming at reaping of political benefits during the elections.
CM Ibrahim appealed to people not to heed to and not to panic about the issue of Uniform Civil Code, as this is a kind of business being carried out by political parties in wake of upcoming elections.
