The Grand Old Party, the Indian National Congress, the high-level decision-making body Congress Working Committee ‘CWC’ from the days of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad until now included several senior and prominent leaders. And after Mallikarjun kharge took command of the party, the Congress has appointed four Muslim members to the CWC and Rajya Sabha Parliamentarian Dr. Syed Nasir Hussain is one among the among those leaders.
When asked about the significance of having a Muslim MP as a Member of the Congress Working Committee, Dr. Syed Nasir Hussain said that “Being a Muslim Member of the CWC, he will ensure that the rights of Muslims would be realized and protected and will also help counter polarization so that divisive forces can be defeated and the country can be saved.”
